It does not, but I'm not sure if it should or not. The old battery does not vibrate, so I am assuming it is completely dead. When I plug it in, the phone vibrates, but that is all. After the new battery died, for awhile it would show the red charging battery if I hit the power button, but now it doesn't show or do anything. I bought a new OEM battery on Amazon and it worked right away, but when I tried to charge it, it would show that it was charging but the battery continued to drain. My Lumia 640 stopped charging about a month ago and I tried different chargers than the one it came with and tried taking the battery out and back in, but it will not charge, turn on or do anything even when plugged in.
